Match Reports
10/09/11 - Faversham Town
Woodnesborough Under 12's lost their opening league fixture on the road to Faversham Town 5 - 3. Woodies took the lead through Samuel Bradley in the first 5 minutes but failed to stamp their authority on the match and ended up being 2 -1 down at half-time. Bradely scored again early in the second half for the Woodies to level the score but seemed to struggle with the pitch and the severe heat to give away a further 3 goals. Harpo Randall scored a brilliant long range volley for Boro. Liam Tucker-Smyth was player of the match for Woodnesborough for his great determination in defence.

18/09/11 - Folkestone Invicta Youth
Woodnesborough FC U12s secured their first points of the season in division 2 with a comprehensive 4 – 2 win over Folkestone Invicta Youth. Woodies got off to a brilliant start with man of the match, Jonathan Taylor completing a cross from Elliot Fox within 5 minutes. Folkestone equalled the game on 10 minutes, which seemed to kick-start Woodnesborough into action. Samuel Bradley and Fox netted a goal each to bring the score to 3 – 1 at half time. Woodnesborough completely controlled the second half and missed a hat full of chances with Bradley and Fox coming close on numerous occasions. Woodies managed to add to the score line when Harry McLean picked up a lovely through ball from Edward Harlow. McLean beat the defender for strength and pace and drove the ball under the keeper. Folkestone scored in the final minutes of the game through a good counter-attack but the game was well and truly over by this point.

25/09/11 - Grasshoppers
Woodnesborough u12's travelled to Lydd to play Grasshoppers FC in division 2 of the EKYL. Woodies were caught napping at the start when Hoppers took the lead early in the first half. In truth Woodnesborough were a shadow of their useful self and struggled all game. Woodies fast flowing passing football was absent for all to see with the lead shared between both teams all match. In the end, goals from Elliot Fox, Jonny Taylor (2) and Man of the match, Harpo Randall earned Woodies a 4 – 4 draw.

02/10/11 - Hugin Vikings
Woodnesborough FC u12s put on a real master class against visitors, Hugin Vikings FC u12s in division 2 of the East Kent Youth League. Boro took the lead in 2 minutes through an individual run and finish from Sam Bradley. Hugin then quickly levelled the score following a rare moment of indecision from the Boro defence. This helped to galvanised the Woodies and Elliot Fox latched on to a trough ball to make it 2 -1. Man of the match (for the second game running) Harpo Randall scored then produced a piece of sublime magic to score from a beautiful long range dipping shot. Josh Ashley-Jones finished off a brilliant offensive, passing move for the home team to give Woodnesborough a 4 -1 lead at half-time. The Woodies them totally dominated the second half and goals came thick and fast – Bradley (2 – for his hat-trick), Marley Wickham, Fox and Randall. In the dying seconds of the game, Hugin scored to make the final score 9 -2.
