Woodnesborough Football Club
Team Spirit Puts Woodnesborough Football Club On Top of the League!!
On Thursday 4th October 2007, a bunch of volunteers gave up their spare time and helped to transform the grounds and club house of Woodnesborough Football Club.
The works were undertaken as part of the “Lend Lease International Community Day Programme”. Peter Chana, a Lend Lease Senior Project Manager and a “Woodies” Youth Team Manager, raised a project to redecorate the club house welfare facilities. Works were also undertaken to the car park area, the perimeter of the youth team pitch, the garage and lock up. To cap it all off, new signs were erected around the club grounds to help welcome players and visitors to the Foxborough Hill pitch.
Woodnesborough FC Chairman Ozzie Williams, who was also actively involved on the day, thanked Lend Lease and all volunteers for their kind generosity on what was a very rewarding day!!
